The Valenti Megathread Part IV

Tonight my band has their EP release show and I officially get to put my new V21-J5 (Esther) to work!
We had a short, impromptu warm up set at a local bar last night, so I took her out for a trial run. Since this is my first time using the Nordstrand 2B pre, I still have to find that EQ sweet spot etc, but I really dig this bass and received a TON on compliments on my tone!
Huge thanks to Nino for far exceeding my already high expectations on this build, and to everyone here who post pics of your beautiful basses which gave me the G.A.S. to finally take the plunge!!

My five string with an NP5 and BigSplitMan has become my #1 bass. It's just incredibly versatile. And based on the P5 that Nino built me a few years back, I'm guessing yours is going to be a pretty amazing Valenti.
Oh, I've drooled over photos of your NP5/BigSplitMan bass for many months... that thing is sah-weeeeet!
Yup, looking forward to the upcoming build. My gold 5-string Valenti with their Fat Stacks and 3B preamp offers LOTS of great, usable tones... but the new toy may have it beat in that category.

That should make for a great pair of basses. A five string Jbass and a swiss army knife four-string should cover pretty much anything you need. The Fat Stacks are still favorites of mine. I ran them as singles 90% of the time but having the humcancelling mode was a lifesaver at different times. And I love Shoreline Gold as a color. What is the color combo for the new one?
Yup, I run my Fat Stacks in single-coil mode nearly all the time -> similar to Big Singles but with increased low-mids, especially nice when you're going for full neck or full bridge. They're sweet pickups, for sure!

Last night was the first show in over 5 years where the Spector didn’t see any action! I absolutely love that bass, so it speaks volumes about how much I enjoyed playing the new V21-J5!!
Both my new Valenti builds have this downsized J body, and I really love it. Both are thin and light and still retain all the sound you would expect out of a traditional J bass. I hope this body style will continue to be an option in the future.

So at my gig last night I experimented a little with my P bass. A little backstory......when I was in the build stage I kept going back and forth as to whether I wanted a preamp......it is a P bass after all.....well we decided to go with one and I'm happy I did. My first gig with it I ran it strictly passive and it sounded great. Last night I engaged the preamp and added a little treble and the bass had a little more clarity and still had a nice grindy tone. I am very pleased with my Valenti basses!!!

Jeez...the Verrazano basses are a ridiculous deal for a custom bass...wow!
Ooh....this one does it for me! I love the traditional looking bass with soapbars. The rear routed controls option, that you also offer, does it for me as well. I love that option. Super simple looking. Give me a Nordstrand Big Split bridge and BigRig neck pickup and man oh man! Nino, where in NY are you? Anywhere near the City?
