Because the cops wouldn't have taken their slaves along to the handoff if it was somewhere else. Rick's decision to take them wasn't premeditated. He made that call on the spot.
It wasn't clear to me who left with them. But the doctor would be handy to have around.
That doctor is a cowardly schmoo. Better not to have to babysit him, they already have mullet boy to babysit. Possibly now the preacher too. They are, for the time being, nomads. They can't afford all this pansy baggage.

I'm thinking that Mullet was actually telling the truth about Washington and it was a all a bid to get himself killed by Abe because he was beginning to crack from the pressure. The scene going back to him and Abe meeting was to throw everyone off.
At least Beth got to shove O'Donnell down the elevator shaft.

I think it was only Noah that came with them. I also think that Gabriel is quickly going to turn into a killing machine, now that he has seen what the Termites were.

Possibly but not necessarily. Once the projectile passes through the head it may not have enough force to really do much damage. It also may not come out in one piece, especially if it was a hollow point. It also could have been deflected and taken a different path on the way out after going through.

Anyone watching the WD marathon? I caught a couple episode. Lots of stuff I forgot. Dale trying to talk the group out of killing their prisoner in Hershel's barn, Shane being a psycho...
I saw the very end of the episode when Rick shot zombie Sofia last night. I realized how many characters in that scene are no longer on the show and were killed off since then.
Well, that was some mid-season premiere. They wasted no time whatsoever, if you catch my drift.
