When Carl first met the girl, Carl picked up a magazine in her room, and while he was looking at the back we could see the front cover, the title of the magazine was "Wolf Fight". They must have shown us that for some reason.

I think they know there's a bunch of obsessive nuts like us debating every little obscure tidbit on the internet. So they're making the clues more subtle.

I like that kind of stuff; it's a good test of how perceptive you are and whether you're paying attention, and it makes the reveals more interesting in hindsight. Same thing Vince Gilligan does with Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

I do think they put little hints and images in that are directed specifically at people familiar with the graphic novel though. It's a cool tip of the hat sign of appreciation from the writers and director. Even then, sometimes it's foreshadowing, and sometimes it's a red herring since they have diverged from the graphic novel on several occasions.

I can't comment on your mental status, however...

A really quick Google search (so quick as to avoid further spoilers) reveals that while the Wolves are not a group in the graphic novel, there are two groups that the producers could be renaming for the TV show to keep some of us guessing.

So, if you've read the graphic novel, you might be particularly sensitive to the subtle hints about Wolves (such as those mentioned on this thread), and knowing the writers' propensity for changing things up for the television version, put 2 plus 2 together.

And now everyone reading this thread and post has come a little closer to putting 2 plus 2 together, although I still have no idea the nature or make-up of those aforementioned groups from the graphic novel. It's fairly obvious that something is going on outside the walls of Alexandria, so this barely qualifies as a "spoiler," if at all.

You are right, probably best to avoid such discussion to avoid **spoilers** for the uninitiated. Even something as basic talking about the differences between show-Daryl and comic-Daryl is a potential spoiler, and I respect that. :)

But thank you for clarifying that I am not crazy. ;)
