Just grabbed a sixer of 21st Amendment IPA. Nice crisp clean IPA, almost stereotypical West Coast IPA in fact. Less floral than some. Not bad at all.

This one isn't crazy intense. Think Sierra Nevada with maybe 20% more hop and none of that slight dirty mouth aftertaste.

Since Florida has been so ****ing cold this year, I bought 13 sixpacks of Paulaner Salvator. As soon as my bud at the liquor store called and said it arrived, I bought all he had left. As of right now, I have about 3 sixpacks left and it's going fast I'm going to try to get a keg of their pilsner for when and IF it ever warms up around here.

After drinking IPAs for years now Guinness and Sam Adams drink like water. I used to think that Guinness was sort of chewy and complex now they are light and refreshing compared to my regular rotation. Which include Loose Cannon IPA , Lagunitas IPA, Sierra Nevada, Hoptical Illusion and Rocky Mountain IPA.

Currently drinking my own brew, its an attempt at a tripel karmelit clone, it came pretty close, slightly less sweet, I'm rather enjoying it.

Also drinking a home-brew ruby ale that another brewing friend of mine made. I don't know what he was aiming for, but it came out tasting rather like Hobgoblin by Wytchwood. Its also pretty tasty.


And, as always, throwing plenty of Guinness down me. You Guinness fans REALLY need to try it when its poured properly in Ireland.

I think IPAs favor older guys and their less acute taste buds. Not a dig on old guys, but as you get older, your taste buds are less sensitive, so you like the hoppy stuff.

I can't drink stout, it sits like a liquid brick in my stomach. Back in my younger Canadian days I would go to my local tavern, and some of the old timers would be sitting there chugging Champlain Porter all day long. I tried it once, and that stuff was like stout, sat like a liquid brick!

Yum, Chimay Blue....just found a place selling for $9.99, loving it.

Just finishing a Port Brewing (San Marcos, CA) Old Viscosity. Nice dark beer, 10% alc, chocolate/oak finish. This is one I'll have to stock up on for good Guinness loving friends.

I sadly crapped out as I just grabbed the $8.99 Mystery Bag at my local hip grocery store and it was a 6'er of IPA. Sadly, IPA's and Amber are my least favorite. Oh well, the next one will be all stouts....I hope.

I like IPAs but I mainly drink stouts and porters these days. Or single malt scotch. Or port.
