yup! those lighter black rectangles on the bridge saddles is a dead give away.

Ah. Much harder to spot than my gold RMCs.

Out of curiosity, why go with a neck pickup and a piezo? Most neck pickups and piezos have a fairly similar tone, at least with my piezo+mag combos. The bridge pickup tends to have a brightness the piezo lacks.

I agree with you there. I was lurking on that one when it was listed but I have a "no lines on a fret-less" policy. Congrats.

Well it is my first so I figured I could cheat a little till I Graduate and get one of those Big Kid Fretless Basses and I figured they were good enough for Jaco so can't be so bad : )

my fretless has a mid-pickup only... it's a very thumpy P bass type tone. Adding a piezo (which I keep thinking about on mine) adds some extra tone options. As far as the missing bridge pickup... not everyone wants to sound like Jaco or Manring

...no, but at the price they cost, I like to keep 'em so versatile that they can cover all the tones and brush my teeth!

understood... I like my gear to do one thing amazingly. Set it and leave it kinda thing. I wouldn't use a bridge pickup on my current fretless... it's tone is right where I want it. Though If (when ) I add another fretless it'll be a bridge pickup only (well, MM sweet spot at least).
