The "your beer sucks" thread

Let's get back on topic.

So the gas station sells Natural Ice for cheap, you don't expect much out of it. You have really low standards already and you still spit out the beer on the first sip. PFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!. At least when chilled a lot, it still makes a better "ice cold refreshment" than Coors because of the cost.

and one KILLER hangover in the morning

All the "ice" beers always gave me a headache from hell the next morning. no matter how much i drank

I go to this prestigious magnet school. But since it's a public school, the government decided to put this school right in the middle of the ghetto. There's a corner store down the street.

Not surprisingly, they have Colt 45s. So I purchase a 40 oz Colt 45 with a few dollars I had with me. Abso****inglutely disgusting.

There seems to be confusion here, the stuff mentioned here is larger which is chilled fizzy piss, proper beer is not sterilized is not artificially chilled, is not canned or pumped up using gas, it is not full of chemicals, it is stored in a cool celler and is drawn up using a hand pump, go to Cornwall and try a pint or two of Tinners, glorious.

my new favourite beer is 'abbaye de la bonne esperance', it's a white beer that isn't watery like a hoegaarden for example.

You guys in Belgium have all the luck when it comes to beer variety. That's not to say, however, that there aren't a lot of good imitators over here these days. Ommegang and Celis are two favorites of mine, plus in Philly there are at least five great Belgian style gastro-pubs.

Yeah, Natty Light is only $14 a 30 pack. BECAUSE IT'S COW PISS! Seriously, take that cash you were going to drop on crappy water beer and buy a six pack of some GOOD stuff. God, I hate living in a college town sometimes.

Yuengling Lager is excellent. However, Yuengling Premium is downright nasty. Don't make the mistake of picking up the wrong one.

I've lived in Pennsylvania all of my 55 years and have been drinking beer at least 37 of them. I just don't get all this fascination with Yuengling. They have great marketing, they run their business superbly, they have a great brewery tour, and I guess the lager is well...OK at best. Generally I consider the whole brand to be pretty mediocre, probably due in part to the large amount of corn they use in their recipes. The only two of their beers I can actually drink is their Porter style and their fake ale (it uses a lager yeast), Lord Chesterfield . The rest give me GAS, and I don't mean the good kind of GAS you get on this site!

Black Label. Or Special Export. Hmmm, it's a toss up which is worse. If a skunk peed in a can that's what it would taste like. Agreed on Heiniken as well. Now how can you hate on Colt 45? Works every time :D Miller lite....you might as well give me water. We were playing a festival one time and the bands got free Miller lite. I had ten of those things and caught a headache. What a waste of time.
