Dude..... Seriously.... This one near brings tears to my old eyes...... No joke man. Had one of these as a lad filled with stuff that's important to a kid. Also had ten bucks in it I got for a birthday. My saintly mother came to me with tears in her eyes one day and I could see she was just broken inside asking me if she could use that ten bucks (a lot of money for a poor family).... Well of course I gave it to her and of course she gave it back shortly thereafter. And to this very day my mother still apologizes to me for that. I would pay a kings ransom to find exactly one of these safes. I would pack that sucker full of cash, mail it to my mom and tell her that old debt is long been settled...... Man, you opened up some deep feelings with this one.....

Great story. If I see one wondering around pawn shops and antique malls as I sometimes do, it is yours for what I have to put into it. Let us know if you find one, please.

I still have my original one I got in the 50s. I was much younger then. We used to joke that mom wasn't a hoarder, she was an archivist. She didn't collect crap like on tv, but she rarely let something she considered important to get lost.
