Things You Don't See Anymore Part 3

Oh, well then, it looks like you were a prodigy.
Well, before that, I had wired up my own phone extension in my room, and connected some discarded car speakers to a discarded stereo receiver so I could have bigger sound in my room than what I got from my little nightstand radio. Didn't seem prodigious to me, though; just "doing stuff." :wacky:

I knew good and well house power would be too much for the RC car. We were just hoping for more than a puff of smoke as it went, that's all. :roflmao:

In the running for the grossest toy of all time is the Invalid Link Removed. Naturally, it was the grossness that kids loved. Mattel’s monster puppets that came from “a swampy bog that time forgot,” were made out of foam latex and came in a box that looked like a wooden crate, with a plastic grate at the front that could be lifted. They hit shelves in 1987, but discontinued after just two years.

Had a few of them creatures. Found them again in a Rubbermaid box about a year ago and they did not age well.
That foam latex was very sticky and when I put my hand in it to make it talk the lips stuck and fused themselves together. The others were equally as gooey so they got tossed. :(
