Things You Don't See Anymore Part 3

I used to pick up PA/bass cab parts(mainly crossover assemblies, horns, sometimes drivers)at the store on Sunset, across from the Hollywood Guitar Center(next to that is the infamous Sunset Grill). Great little Mexican restaurant next door, the Mesa store on the corner, and the entire intersection(at Gardner)was full of small vintage and amp repair places. All gone now, save for GC and a Sam Ash that came in later.

I have that James Bond game right now. I got it when it was new.
Everything about a page like this - the graphics, the fonts, the images, the layout - takes me right back to childhood.
Whadya mean? I see one(the 2000s format) every day…
…and I found out that JMJ took one out on the road with St. Vincent when they toured with Roxy Music a few months ago.
There was a guy here in town that had one too. Great sound. Yours is in better shape than his. In a manner of speaking, you don’t see these around.
Well, in the past few years I’ve seen those(and their descendant, the original Model T)in the backlines of The Black Keys(their utility bass player), Mutoid Man, Boris, Greta Van Fleet, a couple of Desert/Stoner rock bands whose names I can’t recall right now, and…wait for it…
Sunn0))).
Note the kids' happy expressions as they place the needle on the record-with the power cord(s) neatly coiled.
