They might still make these things but when I was in high school you wouldn't be caught dead in school without one...

These were all a part of my growing up. I remember my mom giving us $.15 to go to school with, the first few years. We'd pass the candy store on the way to, and get something. Then it upped to $.25, $.30, and I think $.50 by 1975. I went to catholic school where they were pretty strict about the no candy thing, so we used to buy cough drops and when we got caught would say, "cough drop!", to which the nuns would say, "ok" .
I wonder how many of these still exist. I know the cough drops do, but in different boxes. I remember when the NEW menthol eucalyptus Vicks came out. I HAD to have them, and the ice blue ones.

Great news for those of us who are old time candy aficionados. Some of the products you mention are still being made. Chiclets are still made; but, the Tiny Size Chiclets seems to be hard to find. Bottle Caps have changed the packages. Freshen Up Gum is still made; but, it is not easy to find locally either. I always liked Freshen Up Gum. Candy Necklaces can be found. Razzles have also changed the packages. Lik-M-Aid has changed the name. It's now called Lik-M-Aid Fun Dip.
Time to make a candy store run. However, we sure can't buy candy for 5 cents each anymore.

I Love candy cigarettes. As a kid I was a chain eater. There is a candy shop on the coast that has them and every time I go to the beach I pickup a few packs.

I think it was sometime in the late '90s/early 2000s that I saw these in a store, and I couldn't believe they still made 'em! You can still find them online at the Mead website; they come in different colors now.
Did anyone here actually use the front "brake" successfully without doing a face plant? I was never able to master that one.
Of course... you just drag your toe and gradually slow down. I still find those type of brake pads much more ergonomic than the ones on the back of inline skates.
