A house we lived in while I was in high school and college had one with intercoms in every bedroom. Our parents would call us down to dinner with it. It had a radio, but we never used that feature. It was still working when my parents moved out 10 years later.
Last one I saw in person was 1975. It seemed much cruder than this one. Must be a late model.I will be seeing one of these, (as of yesterday when I obtained it), but most people probably don't see an Atwater Kent Model 944 radio every day.
