Thinking about doing something crazy.

Should I swap out my Eden setup for Accoustic

  • Do it! Your gear is 9 years old. Accoustic makes nice stuff

I have an Eden setup, and have owned it for over 9 years now. I was thinking about shaking things up and trading up for new gear. I currently have and Eden Highwayman with the 800 watt power amp upgrade, and a 410XLT cab (8 ohm).

I was eyeballing that Accoustic 8X10 setup with the 600 watt amp. I know nothing about Accoustic, and wanted to see what my fellow TB'ers think.

I like the 4X10 setup, but now that all my band members own pickup trucks, transport is no longer an issue.

Seriously? You mean the Acoustic stuff that's currently being produced?

Dude, I'm not even a big Eden fan and I'd never do that.

Wait... How about I buy the Acoustic stuff for you, and you give me the Eden setup in return for my generosity? I think that's fair :D

If you feel like it,... why not.
Go ahead :)

i was under the impression that the Acoustic line in production now is a Guitar Center outsourcing with the name put on it that they now own the rights to and is NOT of the same caliber that Acoustic once was.... i may be wrong... but im sure if you do a search on TB you will find the scoop from those truly in the know.. Eden is Eden.. if youre gonna trade around id say go with something equally on par or better.. Ashdown, US AMPEGs, Gallien, Mesa M6.. something you KNOW is choice! ps.. check gear reviews on here and harmony-central.com before any big switch... it has saved me from lots of hype induced GAS.

I got the message. I will gladly accept my "tard card".

Here we go...

If you're wanting to just change things up (and I can understand that after 9 years of playing the same gear), I'd get Mesa Boogie M9 and a Powerhouse 2x12 and 2X10 rig.

That rig would give you more tonal options with out losing much of that sweat Eden tone and would shake the earth!
