This is how I cut a scarf jointed neck

The OP dates back almost 9 years. TB would need their own picture host server to maintain pictures that old.

very interesting....ive been trying to figure out how im gonna scarf joint a 6 inch wide neck blank for a 6 string im working on here and there. This should help a lot , never thought of using my router!

I have a piece and I'm not sure what it is exactly, was given to me. But I can turn the neck on the jig sticking straight up and the end to be cut on the table saw. It has multiple clamps and can make any angle you want. I can cut almost any neck no matter the thickness. BUT it does not leave as smooth of a finish as when the neck is on a parallel jig. Only thing is you will HAVE to use a different piece of wood for the headstock so I use it only for necks my saw cannot cut all the way thru. Most of the time I have a jig where the neck is clamped to it and the wood of the neck is touching the table saw deck.
