I have said those same words countless times over the last three years. I was not spending one dime on gear in 2022 and not one month has gone by without me buying expensive gear . I have bought five "last " basses this year ......I am keeping the last two .......really !
If that's the case, I have NOT purchased my last bass, yet.
My last bass will be a HUGE (but enjoyable) money-sink
The appointments I want (and I've typed them out here, many times before) would be extremely costly.
Just wondering for all of you who have many basses, and are practicing musicians, do you keep basses at your practice studio and do you also have a home bass?
I am no longer able to play outside the house, but back in my day, on very few occasions did I ever leave my instruments anywhere (car breaks down at rehearsal space [a band mate's house] and I have to take a cab home or walk).
Bought my last bass 3 years ago. I have zero intention of buying another. But never say never I suppose but it's very unlikely I'll buy another for the foreseeable future. Quite happy with what I have.
I thought I was good with two, for years. But than my daughter wanted to get in on painting one for dad like my son had so I've had 3 for a couple years now.
But just gave in to temptation. NBD coming soon. I didn't need it that's for sure, only the 2nd time in my life I've bought a brand new bass.
