Thread hoarders!

I posted once in the Tapewound Club thread while I was still wet behind the ears on the subject and didn't know the strings I was posting about weren't tapewounds.

Months later when I realized my mistake, I just quietly remained subscribed to the thread because little red numbers at the corner of my screen have a Skinner box effect on me and I feel like I've earned something somehow.

You HAVE earned something with a TB like: The respect of a peer. Granted, said TB peers are all alcoholic, drug-addled, broke, depraved, and deranged by false hope. But we all gotta get our props somewhere.

I have this, bad.

I must have 11-12 pages of watched threads, but, in truth, 10-11 of those are of my own classified listings (you never know when you might need to refer back to something you sold). So in my obsessive compulsiveness, I just can seem to let those go.

There has to be some 'reverse-zombie-thread' related joke in here, somewhere...

I tried in futility to wrap my mind around "reverse-zombie". That's either someone who was alive, then zombified, then un-zombified meaning alive (and normal) again...
Or un-un-dead, which would semantically mean fully dead, as in the proverbial doornail.
In anticipation of a definitive answer I'm subscribed.

I'm thinking we need to summon Rick Grimes...

I didn't do my usual check in here yesterday morning with my coffee, and noticed by noon i had 40 new notifications to catch up on!

Is there a way to see how many threads you're currently watching?? I've either posted in or clicked 'watch thread' on hundreds, and only unsubscribed to a few.
Yes, click on your name in the upper right corner, in the drop down click on 'alerts'. The new screen gives your options on the left side.

It seems that anything i comment in gets added to the watched threads list. I've got 48 pages of them and wouldn't even know where to start in getting rid of that many. :roflmao:

In saying that, i don't get any external notifications (email or otherwise) on anything other than private conversations.
