Either that or Fender decided to leverage Gibsons “detachable headstock feature” so it’s users could travel with a more compact instrument.I blame Gibson's Quality Control...

I’ve assumed it was the Ric that he was using at the time. It was stolen during tour after Argus was recorded leading him to “borrow” a beat up Thunderbird from Overend. That is what he used on most of the Lives Dates tracks.
I don't know what to say.
