If it is real wood - you could also try wood dyes which are more viscus. You'd have to avoid the pearl markers - as they would stain also. I don't mind how it looks now, and once you start - you'll have to follow through as stains/dyes can't be removed. (as in, there's nowhere to test it that isn't seen)
Thanks JIO.

I mentioned the Broughton SV-PRE pedal I bought recently. Well, I grabbed the Telebird from the sun&snow treatment and recorded this short clip using the preamp. The cab IR is again the Acoustic 301 which seems to work for me regardless if I play with the pick or fingers or whatever style.
I also recorded the VP for comparison and with the same settings it's a tad darker which is natural.
The gain on the SV is as high as I dare to set it; higher than that and it gets too farty.

Both sound good to me. Great playing!

:woot: You know you want it, Mike!

I guess were I to get a bass with a lubricant can for a body it would likely not be safe for Talkbass publication
Jeez! Turns out they're also available in green(Inverness?), orange, and blue(Pelham?). Still, nope.
Edit: also yellow.

Interesting. I've never read that in anything related to Christian beliefs or practices (which is a lot). I know it was a popular TV thing that seemed to take on a life of its own.
Are we talking the “OK” hand sign that was used in the TV series The Prisoner as they said “I’ll be seeing you”?

If so, that hand sign has hundreds of different meanings and over thousands of years has been used independently by many different civilizations which had zero contact with each other. Any interpretation of that sign without context is worthless.

It is no more a Christian symbol (used by monks with a vow of silence to indicate food if touched to the lips) than a Buddhist symbol (for perfection) or an American Indian symbol (for the sun) or a Diving symbol (to indicate good to go or ok). I think McGoohan was quoted as saying they adopted it as a way of saying goodbye to fellow prisoners that were under constant surveillance by their captors. He said (right or wrong) that it was a modified Christian “fish” symbol. That may or may not have been true, I don’t recall ever hearing of it used that way. The traditional fish symbol is usually done with two hands and looks nothing like the ok hand sign.

It's also a good insult in Brazil.

Exactly! And is considered pretty insulting in the US by many people as well (use it at your own peril).

I’d much rather flash a Tbird hand sign - left arm fully extended to the left side and pointing towards the floor at a 45 degree angle (to symbolize neck dive) and fingers in a fist (to symbolize a missing headstock).
