Did you get caught in the difference between FedEx Ground which delivers on weekends and the other FedEx that offers next day or second day delivery but doesn’t deliver on weekends? Aggregating if that’s the case.

I’m a few pages back catching up, but

I had two packages from the same place on the same fedshag truck.

Due in the past Thursday

One package contains my embassy base geetar

One package contains and empty Kramer case that was cheap and I modified for my bass vi.

the case that was on the exact same shaging truck and was due Thursday, arrived very last minute on Saturday

the package that contains the base geetar, that was on the exact same shaging truck when it left indyshaginganna and due to arrive Thursday has just arrived at the fedshag store 20 minutes ago.

but other than that I’m not upset at all… unless my base geetar arrives in pieces.

case turned out nice. I need to get that spray glue and tack it down still

For anyone who isn't aware of Epiphone's history - and why their brand-name on the recent RI correct VP T-bird is significant.

I don’t like Epiphone as a lower line Gibson.

Epiphone to me has always stood on its own, I’m glad newer management has embraced the history

I have a 1964 Epiphone Bard 12 string acoustic, my favorite treble geetar is an Epiphone Crestwood.

the flamingo t-bird is an Epiphone, and I have a super awesome firebird I that was built to original specs while the Gibsons were just built however…

going to pick up my Epiphone Embassy later today.

I was feeling energetic this afternoon, so I cut a new black guard for me VP, put a chrome foil bird on it, and attached with thin double sided tape instead of screws.

I had some polystyrene plastic I used for fret slot filler on some fretless conversions, and I cut some with a pair a scissors for my jazz bird.. just needs a thunderwoodstock….

I used 3m double sided tape

The drum kit looks pretty good to me. Smaller diameter bass drum and black pearl wrap and wood hoops on the bass drum - all good stuff. Gretsch?

that’s my ex-wife’s DW set, you should have seen her red onyx Rogers.

I am on the lookout for a kit (for my son, wink, wink, nod, nod) and I think I’ll be getting maybe an 18”-20 bass drum

Are we talking the “OK” hand sign that was used in the TV series The Prisoner as they said “I’ll be seeing you”?

If so, that hand sign has hundreds of different meanings and over thousands of years has been used independently by many different civilizations which had zero contact with each other. Any interpretation of that sign without context is worthless.

It is no more a Christian symbol (used by monks with a vow of silence to indicate food if touched to the lips) than a Buddhist symbol (for perfection) or an American Indian symbol (for the sun) or a Diving symbol (to indicate good to go or ok). I think McGoohan was quoted as saying they adopted it as a way of saying goodbye to fellow prisoners that were under constant surveillance by their captors. He said (right or wrong) that it was a modified Christian “fish” symbol. That may or may not have been true, I don’t recall ever hearing of it used that way. The traditional fish symbol is usually done with two hands and looks nothing like the ok hand sign.

I think most Christian sects use the fish as a recognition signal like this:

So you're saying if I flash it in public I won't be saying to the Crips I'm a Blood and dated their mothers?

Exactly! And is considered pretty insulting in the US by many people as well (use it at your own peril).

I’d much rather flash a Tbird hand sign - left arm fully extended to the left side and pointing towards the floor at a 45 degree angle (to symbolize neck dive) and fingers in a fist (to symbolize a missing headstock).
OK, now I want to see this on Youtube!
