Thunderbird Club

What you need is some of these guys. 3 on our farm (plus 8 puppies). No one messes with Maremmas.

Beautiful dog! But definitely has that, "You thinkin' of messin' with my chickens? Are you punk?" look.

We have one of these. He's 13/14 and is no guard dog. We call Grady the Love Monster. He just wants to be around people and love on them and be loved by them. Doesn't matter if it's us or a thief. As far as wild animals goes, he generally sees them as interesting new friends. He literally doesn't know how to be mean.

Unrelated, we used to have a family friend who raised chickens and we got our eggs from her. Best tasting eggs I ever had. She stopped and we're back to eating tasteless eggs again. Once you have a good egg you get ruined. :rollno:

I keep hearing that but apparently haven't found anyone who knows how to do that.:smug:
Maybe I was expecting something that'd knock my socks off. It(venison)wasn't bad, just nothing special. I'd prefer a good, smoked pork chop.
Meanwhile, gig last night at Jensen Beach VFW. This rig.

Gotta love the dog. That's why they were created.

Yes, no comparing weak, runny, yellow yolk store eggs. Plus, you can get them in Easter egg colors without the dyes.

Thank you!

Thank you! But actually, I believe on Red Summer it's my Greco 4001S Rickenfaker. Our other recent single was the VP:

As far as the amp, on Red Summer the set-up would have been 4001S, no pedals on, into my Sunn 2000s rig, mic'd, and then into the studio's gear.

Doghouse would be VP into same Sunn rig. The wah sound is the VP into my Chicago Iron Parachute Wah into a cranked Hiwatt DR103 and Vox 4x12, mic'd, into the studio gear.

The action on my VP is pretty low, but I lowered the pickups cause they're pretty hot. I might need to lower them some more to balance with my other basses, the VP is by far louder and has more low end than the Greco Rick or my other non-Thunderbird basses, I certainly wouldn't call them weak at all in the low end. I usually roll the bass on the Sunn down to 2 and the Hiwatt about 10 o' clock. Strings, usually I use Rotosound Swing 66s on everything, but I think for the recording session I just used the strings that came on the Grico, some no-name nickel plated rounds from Japan.

I had two Sunn 2000S cabs when I was young loaded with D-140's, I had the 2000S head at a different later time, I used to power the Sunns with a Marshall Major, it was earthquake city in every club we ever played in. This with a flatwound P bass.

Hate that. Was never a fan, don't like this at all.

Not trying to be make light of this, but...and Keef still lives. Go figure.

After the apocalypse: Bacterium, a few cock roaches and Keef with a cig in his mouth wondering where everyone went.

I think Keef's sunny, friendly attitude goes a long way toward keeping him alive, that and abstaining from heroin. Ever read his book, Life?

No I haven't. Good read is it? I figured it was the same rock start cycle of stupidity. I'll have to look into that.

It's a great book, he had a ghostwriter but you feel like you know him after a while. He seems just about unflappable, like nothing really bothers him. I don't think he holds anything back about anything either. I read a lot about music in general and this is one of the better books I've read. I think I'd actually enjoy meeting him after reading this book, he lives right in CT.
