I can’t help it, I keep coming back to those pics of the ThunderJag you built and marveling at the way you made that wood grain pop! I might like to try something like that in a matte finish on a future build.
Is that mahogany? Can you elaborate on the finish process you used? As a side note, does she sport a convincing Tbird vibe with those pups?

Had some venison once. Prepared by a friend who knew WT7 she was doing. It was good, but I'm happy with pork.

I have to say thanks for all the pick up spacing measurements. It's very aggressive on either pickup soloed, but smoothes right out with both. I love this bass, simple to coax serious grind out of
As for the finish, I actually messed it up and stripped it. That was a blessing, it made the stain get down in the grain better the second time. It isn't as blue as I thought, but it has some trippy color change thing going.

The T-bird + pickups in my ‘13 NR and my short scale sound great to me, especially through the Boogie Channel on my Mesa TT 800 with the bright switch on. Sweet humbucker goodness.

I'd rather have bologna. Never been a fan of it. I always figured if you have to acquire a taste for something its just a mind trick revealing you don't like it but have talked yourself into it, likely for peer pressure reasons. Back in the day never had to do the mind trick thing with beer, bourbon or even Limburger, so I give up after a few tries. I've had some that's "not bad," but I don't see out things that just register to the "not bad" level when there are plenty of other options. The not bad deer was in a stew my bro-in-law fixed. Didn't really taste like deer so it wasn't bad.
