Initially, Gojira was a a parable of the horrors of nuclear war and the US use of atomic weapons.

If you consider Gojira to represent the US, his evolution from villain, to hero, to parody rather looks like the US in the post WWII period...*

* Tongue firmly in cheek for the humour impaired.

Well summarized - the original Japanese market only Gojira (unlike later adapted Raymond Burr for US consumption version) was exactly that. (but even that is a fun watch to see how they edited in RB after the fact - brilliant in its crudeness!) But outside of that and all cultural and political references (and there are many) - the love of model-making and crazy transformer-like monsters makes all of them worth watching. And Tokyo has to be be the most monster destroyed city in the world! Their slogan should be - "Come to Tokyo, before Godzilla destroys it again!"

Yeah, but what’s the best Godzilla for Metal?
Mechagodzilla of course…

Actually, my '64 II has a minimal "belly bevel" - but due to the overall lack of player ergonomics (if you want to play it in a more conventional position) - I ride it back so my left hand is closer to the first position, which located the stubby upper "horn" right at my ribcage. Like I've always said - if a bass is worth playing, concessions are made. (other than excessive weight and/or extreme neck dive which my T-bird doesn't suffer)

An Epi bolt-on (not sure what year) didn't have one ...

or this one -

I modified my (Epi bodied) Saundersbird to soften the edge at the upper "horn' - (decals since removed...)

...and my Factorbird fretless has major ergonomic sculpting -

I’ve wondered about getting a belly cut put onto the Goth.
Not sure if I will or not, prob have to strip the whole back and edges back to natural and oil /seal it. Dunno how that’d look with the Goth top.

Agree. The miniature worlds built (only to be carelessly kicked apart by rampaging monsters) was incredible. Incredible work went into it. I have always appreciated how well those movies were done. Even the wire-fighting maneuvers were well done.

Edit to add:
Godzilla is already there. He has a home in Shinjuku.

Yeah, not like Fender's, but better than nothing. I don't have a gut, but it still feels better to me, though not really in the ideal belly spot anyway. Modern Gibson and Epi VPs are true to the 60s.
later model BaCH NRs didn’t have one either, something I had remedied right away cause not only it wasn’t comfortable to play, but it also hung funny  making the playing position different….more demanding…
