S...No Fenders? You’re a rare bird, I thought everybody had at least one. Don’t worry, you aren’t missing much....

Not everyone. Don't have one, don't need one. I think I've said before, if someone wanted to give me a pre-CBS Fender (especially a 50s bird), I wouldn't object, but that's more because of history and perhaps value (depends on the bass).

Yes, it’s definitely the fragilest* of the two.

* if enough people reinforce the wrong use of a word it eventually becomes the new norm.

One thing that still irritates me is when people say "chomping at the bit" it is/was "champing at the bit" which means when a horse is impatient and chewing anxiously at the bit, kind of like gnashing their teeth, they're not trying to eat the bit. English gets dumbed down continuously. The Royal Spanish Academy would never allow that to happen in Spanish :D.

The Royal Spanish Academy (Spanish: Real Academia Española, generally abbreviated as RAE) is Spain's official royal institution with a mission to ensure the stability of the Spanish language.

Bill's in the mail.

Look. It’s the color you want. Who knows how much longer they’ll be around. You need to jump on this NOW!
I can't argue with anything you said. I may see about brining up the topic. We are looking to have some stamped concrete and landscaping done so I'm not sure now is good, even if I sold something.

I got it. How do set up a go fund me page? A NR is a legit need, right? (I would never think of taking money for that.)

But the only acceptable pronunciations are if you can lisp your Zs and some Cs and swallow your Ds to make them sound like Ss. :D

Probably tied with Rick Wakeman for me. My Mel song with too many poorly done times pre-bass was Closer to Home/I'm Your Captain I'm Your Captain/Closer to Home.

I love Grand Funk, love that album but THAT song is so long and repetitive and was played so often on the radio back in the day I'M STILL SICK OF IT .

Got it.
(Sea what I did their);)

I try to use proper grammar and spelling as a matter of course but I don't get wiggy about it. Especially typing with spellcheck - I always re-read what I type but even then things slip by. There's only a couple of common usages of words that always bug me. "a small little ____" is used a lot, which is... redundant. Then there is "funner", but after looking it up to see if it's a "real" word, I found this; Funner, Stupider, and Other Words That Are in Fact Real

Procol Harum were a GREAT band, if they had never recorded anything but their live in Edmonton Canada album with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra 1972 they would still be one of the greats.
Agreed. And a Whiter Shade is an anthem of a generation. A very simple baseline that works so will with the melody, great keyboards and one of the best vocals ever.

But you’re not selling the house anytime soon. And you need to wait for the price of rebar and concrete to come down. And if your area is like ours, it’ll be months before a contractor can fit you in. Just get the Thunderbird.

I always liked their early vid of the song - this one has lyrics subtitles. Yes, a great voice which reminds me a bit of Stevie Winwood - another great voice.

For now, I get away with quite a bit actually. My wife is pretty good about my hobby. I have the little Rumble in the corner of the family room, a Marshall combo in my home office with six basses on the wall, a room upstairs with an amp and more basses on the wall and the master bedroom where for now I’m allowed to have my Mesa rig and a couple of basses (but a bit of grumbling about that is beginning). I keep three or four basses at the mountain place and a Hartke combo (surprisingly great tone with Thunderbirds) in the upstairs loft area with my cds, some vinyl, the turntable and a Blu-ray player. But it all goes to the basement in a couple of years. That has been made very clear. The basement is basically finished with plastered and painted ceiling and walls, carpet, lights, etc., but it will need some work to make it my “studio.” I’ll be asking for advice on that when the time comes.

My wife complains but she knows better by now. At least I took the little amp out of the bedroom, (I had an SVT head and an Ampeg 15" in it for a while ) but I leave them out of the cases lying around all day in my 'music' room which is shared with her packrat collection of junk, but I'm sure she thinks the same of my stuff, basses, computer, amps, stereo, records, CDs, tapes etc. etc. etc. I pick my battles with her but my music is where I draw the line. She still insists on coming with me to EVERY gig though, you know, "the women", I tell her, "Martha, I am 69, no women are even looking twice at me anymore" :roflmao: I'm like their grandpa, But to her they're coming out of the woodwork.
