Thunderbird Club

Some of my PGs, the best way to explain it is that there is no interchangeability between brands or eras.

Most of the places we play, the dance floor isn't big enuff to allow for the kicks-w/o kicking someone else. 'Course, if you eliminate the band stand...Wait.

I agree it looks too much like an Jazzersize class, but people seems to enjoy it so I can't dis it. The "country western" (line-"dancing") version always cracks me up. Standing straight up and barely moving their bodies (as in, lack of rhythm)... but hey, if it makes the rhythmically-challenged feel like they are dancing - more power to them!

One of my favorite Onion stories: Area man asked to "give up the funk"... (couldn't find it, but it's a hoot!)

Glad to see you still have the drunk crow pg.

It's still a fave! I'm thinking I need to buy another Epi as 7enderbird fodder just use that PG again

I could see a chromed T-bird ala Joe Satriani signature Ibanez for that chromed pg... "put on the glasses!"

The kids here learn it in Primary School and it’s been at many a School Award night or Blue Light Disco.

Even got a run between bands at a festival….

All for young people being active in a world of sedentary phone fixation.

Good evening folks, I hope all are enjoying a relaxing weekend. Sincere thanks to all who shared advice on my hand held recorder, and my strap lock question. I haven't bought a recorder yet, but had the locks installed on the Explorer. A trip to home depot and a little time with my bench grinder solved the screw size issues. The strap I use with my Thunderbird seems to fit perfectly. Great fun to play it standing without wondering about the strap.
Thanks again for all the good advice. I greatly appreciate it.
Whichever recorder you go with, one thing I can't recommend highly enough is getting an AC adapter for it. Not sure any actually come with one. For me, the recorder is a set-it-and-forget-it thing. I plug it in and just leave it recording the whole time. Edit out what you don't want after the fact. Of course make sure you have a big enough memory card in it. I think mine is 16 GB and it's plenty big for multiple rehearsals recorded to uncompressed wav files.

you guys do Homecoming and Prom night down your way? Is rugby the high school sport?
No mate. We have no clue what those nights are except for movies and TV.

on Rugby…. There is never an easy answer Chuck but it is really off topic so I’ll PM you. But no - there is a class divide between Rugby and Rugby League which goes back to 1908.

They do cricket. And rather than an evening, it is 3 days...
