When you are grandparents..sometimes you have to give up a little bit of the music room.
Happy Easter everyone.

They do cricket. And rather than an evening, it is 3 days...
Yes, cricket is the main Summer sport here. Nothing like standing in a field all day in 42c… (5 days for a Test match)

The Soccer here moved the National pro league to Summer as well now. 2 reasons 1. It aligns with NH Competitions and 2. (The true reason) AFL & NRL are huge and take the lions share of TV money and TV slots leaving soccer (and rugby) scrabbling behind.

I recall in either the 80s or 90s, there was brief interest in Aussie Rules Football here. And then everyone figured out that Foster's beer wasn't that good, Paul Hogan wasn't really funny, and that energizer battery guy* was just kind of annoying and like that, the great interest in all things Aussie was gone. **

** Yahoo Serious with his film Young Einstein in which he splits an Australian beer atom barely made a dent.

No mate. We have no clue what those nights are except for movies and TV.

on Rugby…. There is never an easy answer Chuck but it is really off topic so I’ll PM you. But no - there is a class divide between Rugby and Rugby League which goes back to 1908.
Edit: @Chucky Stiletti I should add at the end of the school career, most schools have what is called a “Formal”.

Dress up like a wedding, dinner and drinks (well in my day drinks were served) and dance. You would be expected to bring a partner and parents could also buy tickets to attend to the “dinner dance”. In my daughters school they had banned bringing partners and drinking by the time she got through.

According to that map, you package has averaged about 66MPH. As I recall, the interstate speed limit in most of the US is 55MPH. Most of these types of vehicles have GPS transponders that allow management to keep track of various parameters including driver behaviors including speed. I'm not saying that they lying to you, but you may want to take this with a grain of salt.

Someone else may have replied by now, but the 55 limit was lifted years ago. It's 65-20 most places, and 75 to 80 in texas, with a stretch of toll road near here at 85.

An unfortunate sign of the times. Even at that price they’re fantastic.
Since among friends, mine ended up being $1880 after $125 shipping and $106 in much deserved tax. Had I bought it from a store I still would have had the tax. Might have been able to get free shipping, but would not have paid $1,649 for it either. So far I love it. Can't say it sounds as good as the VPs thus far, but I'm still working through the string tryouts. So far all sound fantastic at home, its live it becomes kind of indistinct. Used TI Jazz Flats today and liked what I was hearing. The best tone so far and one I could definitely be happy with. But I'll try more strings because I can and I love it when you hit the perfect match. Love playing it and am glad I was essentially forced into buying it.:D

But without drinking, how are young adults supposed to make poor decisions?

LOL - they have a bunch of different licks in KY.:p I won’t post it for fear of being banned, but for those so inclined feel free to zoom in on a map of KY just south of Florence and very near Big Bone Lick State Park, there’s another lick there. I just scratch my head and ask, what in the heck were they thinking when they named this place.:wideyed:

And there's a Baptist church with that name! (dying)
The community was named over 50 years before that term gained it slang meaning.
All assuming you're referring to the animal name...

Can I be a grandchild and play in that room? I won't poop myself or anything--but I can't really promise with some of those rigs that just happen to be in there.
