Hows the neck?

That was where I got my NR.…reverb..(Kebo’s bass works)
Only hurts a little when I look right...Hows the neck?

No lefties on the horizon. But at least Gibson is sending me back the 2018 until someone is available and then we'll swap. Very generous of them I think.I suppose you have not heard of any possibility to a lefty anyplace have you? They way the NRs are selling, it sucks that a lefty isn't offered. Maybe one day.
Good question. I don't have the measuring tools that guy does. How do the neck specs compare to your NR neck?
Yeah, last time I explained, I got banned!Ummm..................... Nevermind, I'm sure it'll work just fine without one!![]()
Sometimes, songs are just there for me to grab out of thin air.
I love the song “if it makes you happy” by Sheryl Crow and I wanted to write something in that vein.
So I got out my 1987 Vester Telecaster copy since that one has that country rock sound, dialled up a shuffle on my trusty keyboard and set to work. Further instruments used were my self-made Bass which has a Fender 51 p-Bass single coil pickup, it's the perfect recording bass. And the solos were done on my "Boardcaster" self-made guitar.
Lyric-wise, this song is very personal, but I'll keep it at that.
I hope you guys dig it.
I will be your ray of sunshine here (which is quite contrary to my usual disposition). From what you have reported them telling you, it sounds like there is a plan for some lefties, but not something that they are willing to disclose right now.No lefties on the horizon. Just me, but I wouldn't put any Cobalt Flats on it.A few first thoughts on the new NR (only ~12 months behind everyone else):
Holy crap! I have gangrene! Oh no, just black stuff coming off the strings onto my fingers. What the hell is that? Nickel oxide from sitting in a bulk string dispenser? Fretboard looks like it needs some oil.
It sounds good. Really good! I am really digging how it sounds. Deep bass, well articulated, doesn't seem to scoop with both volumes full. Doesn't have an overly bright tinny sound with the tone wide open.
Very comfortable. Feels about as heavy (maybe a little less) as the white CP, but on a strap feels very light. Like any Thunderbird, it wants to sit a bit lower... on the hip.
The neck isn't as chunky as I was expecting. My JC has a beefier neck. It feels slick.
The factory set up is average; kind of what you would expect. The guitar manager looked at it and declared it set up perfectly. With my hand, I will want lighter strings and much lower action (must keep working on that light touch!).
c’mon really?….

She hated your music. There's an Italian restaurant in Kentucky, right on the river across the bridge from Cincinnati (can't recall the name) where RainMan was filmed (the toothpick scene) - anyway.., they had these every booth juke-boxes. I loved it. We'd always punch in Tony Bennet and Dean Martin singing classic Italian pop songs. Going to dinner there we ended up getting the surliest waitress there more times than not... it became a thing dealing with her.![]()
I really like RS66 on the white Thunderbird. Steel and Thunderbirds seem to be made for each other. Perhaps if I get around to following @BklynKen the evangelist of SITs, I may start using them. But for now, this is the planJust me, but I wouldn't put any Cobalt Flats on it.
You mentioned liking 66s on something, I believe. These might be a great option for you. Bob has 66s on his NR and I'll be using them Sunday on mine. The NRs don't seem to be bright like VPs, so even Rotos should work and not be too bright. (I actually don't think 66s are crazy bright. If they were I wouldn't use them.)

Now that I think about it, isn't this what Geddy used when he was playing the Steinberger?Just me, but I wouldn't put any Cobalt Flats on it.
