Thunderbird Club

There are nubs on the post that the tray for that saddles fit into. You can try taking them out and resting the saddle tray on the bass itself, underneath the bottom nub the saddle normally rests on. (None of this likely contains proper terminology.) My '64 Epi is that way, but trying this did make it too low, but may be worth a shot. Scott mentioned this to me when I first got it. If it looks like it will work, might want to place some kind of material to protect the finish. I can't go over 100s on the Epi or the action starts getting too high.

If you can't use them, list them in the classifieds and you can at least not be completely out on the experiment.
Great idea!(already done, TY)

I have no idea what really went on 50 years ago. All I know is that both Thunderbird forms are way more comfortable than my P basses or my Mustang. And they sound better too. I’m 64. I own 3 7enders. I doubt I’ll ever buy another one. My MIM P bass with chromes is a great bass.
I'm a couple years behind you in age, and only have one 7ender and one Squier. The Squier is a bizarre mid-80s love child of a Strat, Les Paul, Tele, and ES175. It's got the heaviest plywood body you can imagine, and it's about the size of a Les Paul. It's got the HSS Strat pickup configuration and a Strat trem. It's shaped somewhat like a Tele, but it has the cutout of an ES175 with a point. It's a fun little guitar. The 7ender is a Precision and I like it a lot. But that's all I'll ever own from that company. No matter what, I always seem to wander back to Gibson or Gibson style guitars and bass guitars. It's not on purpose, either. Well, it is now, since I figured it out, but it took wandering back every time for a long time for me to recognize that it's a pattern.

I know Will had mentioned that'd be the only Peg he'd consider.
A B-18 would be a choice for me as well as the B-15.

Here's a Fender Friday post.
I bought my first P bass in 1980 (well, on layaway; so I got it in '81). Bought my first bird a year later. I've always been partial to both. I always wanted a 70s P in white and finally found a Japanese PB-70 with a B neck to scratch that itch. I love this thing! White P, and (another) black Thunderbird coming tomorrow. Do they have AA for bass players? BA?

OK, in that case, send the bass to me and I'll see what I can do with it. Might take a while. Years.
You're not likely to do that even if I pay for shipping, are you?

I'm guessing there's no more adjustment to be had in the neck? Obvious question, I know.
(1) Prolly not.
(B)Yeah, shop did all they could with it(I figgered let them do it. If it explodes, they gots to fix it).

BA actually encourages you to spend more on basses...
