Thunderbird Club

You’re probably right, Fiesta red would be a more traditional Fender color, but they did have CAR so it still counts. Besides, I’ve never been a fan of the Fiesta red hue, I much prefer the deeper darker CAR.
I never liked Dakota or Fiesta. CAR all the way. There was a Candy Cola that was similar to the CAR. I'm thinking that's what my strat is.

When young, the only adjustment that was ever needed was the volume knob, and that pretty much fixed everything. Must have been better volume knobs back then.

Mine was stuck open and the tone was very close to being off. I play around with the volumes today on two pickup basses, I'm surprised at the variety of tones you can get with the volumes backed off, at least on T-Birds and Jazzes. I never play with them wide open anymore.

If money were no object(it is), I'd like a 2021 NR refinished in this(Emberglow)color. I had my factory silver 62 Impala painted this color. It looked great-'til I got 'hitandrunned'.:rage::( (Mustangs used a similar colr)

Oh my! I loved those bodies.

Beautiful. I met a guy back in the day who put a 383 and nitrous in about a '69 and it wouldn't stay on the road so he put big tires on the back which kept hitting the fenders so he took a sawzall and cut them . It was in really nice shape too.
My brother had the 66 Charger with the 383. Nice car. And fast in a straight line. But he couldn’t keep up with my humble Volvo 544 in the curves (Hwy 1 aka Harris Grade between Lompoc and Santa Maria) no matter what he did to the suspension and tires.

Those were cool cars, my brother had a '60's Volvo, I don't remember the model though.

It has its own recliner after a hard day? It needs a drink and fine cigar. Fortunately no need for slippers.

What strings are you using on it? I'm sure you said, but that was likely 4,659 pages ago.
The SIT Power Steels. I have Dunlop Marcus Miller Superbrights on the ‘21 NR. While both birds play and feel the same, they sound different run straight into the amp with the same settings. The ‘21 definitely has a more vintage quality to the tone, to my ears anyway. But I enjoy the tone of the ‘13 too. Heck, I like the various tones from all my Thunderbirds.
