For the Southern California members here, what are mask mandates like these days? We head to Carlsbad tomorrow and want to be prepared. **This is not meant to be a discussion about masks and their effectiveness. I only want to know if we need to make sure everyone has them.**
Not required most places. For what it’s worth, I wear an N95 out and I’m double boosted. I lost three good friends to it.

That it was mostly the color that got me to bid on this specific one......should come as no surprise to anyone here? :cautious:

Makes perfect sense, why would you buy a bass that you hate the color of.

Whats that Spector behind it?

LOL - that’s exactly what I was thinking.

Haven’t been to Carlsbad lately but in most of the LA area masks are required indoors only if you’re not vaxed. Lately I’ve just been entering pretty much everywhere without a mask, the establishment usually has disposable masks they will offer if you need one. If you’re going to a specific site you can always call ahead to see what their requirements are.

Thanks! We will take our masks and use as needed. Leaving in about an hour. Will be staring at the beach by early afternoon.

A 620 Rickenbacker in a non fugly colour is an expensive proposition. More than 1k just for the color….

A NR firebird has fewer choices for non fugly colours… but the price is similar to a 620 Ric…

may just chuck it all and get a mosrite ranger….in a non fugly colour….

I want to get a TV yellow Les Paul Special this summer when I head back to the good 'ol US of A, is that color fugly?

sorry guys, meant to respond to the original post…..that pic was taken a couple of years ago in San Diego…. never really looked at the Spector…

From last friday's gig. The pic is so grainy because the camera had to use all it's energy to decide where to focus. As you can see the neck does not need a licence to dive.

Just to remind that T-Bird is a T-Bird. Sounded muddy too and I think the headstock snapped at least once during the gig. Maybe twice, but who is counting.
That photo of you along with your avatar reminds me of this.

I haven't seen any N95's out here but KN95's are plentiful so I wear those. We've had a mask mandate out here now in Peru for about two years, it's like second nature to us (me and my wife) now, we also have to show proof of 3 vaccinations, two main and a booster and had to double mask until very recently to get in any public place, (now single unless they're just getting lax) we can still only take them off to eat. I've had Covid twice, once when it first hit out here, in either March or April of 2020 right before the mask mandate and I got sick as a dog, I wheezed all winter and had to use an inhaler at night, seasons are opposite here, we're in the middle of fall now.
The second time was last summer in the U.S 2021, I went to a jam in Massachusetts and no one was wearing masks so as I walked up the stage I pulled mine off which highly irritated my wife. I walked up to both the drummer and the guitarist whom I knew well and shot the chit, shook hands etc. turns out they both had it, luckily I had a mild case that time, it was probably Omicron and I had been double vaxxed by that time.
We were late getting the vaxxes here and the medical facilities got overwhelmed hence Peru has the highest per capita death rate in the world but we're doing really well now, we have an 80% vax rate, no antivaxxers here, the Peruvians look at me like I have two heads when I try to explain it to them. They were crying for the vaccinations out here so many people were dying. Vaxxes are free here for all citizen or permanent residents which is what I am. Healthcare is free for anyone over 65 and healthcare costs are about 10% of what they cost in the U.S. I've actually paid for cataract operations out of pocket here.
I'm a retired RN but always felt uncomfortable with the ridiculous prices we charged the American people. When I head back this summer I'm going to wear my mask everywhere  Rant over.
