Thunderbird Club

One of my buddy's was at that show, he's opening for the last night of our residency this Friday. It sounded pretty damned good!
......

Yeah, the sound was great - really loud, as rock music should be

Ale's bass hits like a sledgehammer live, but Pau's drums felt like they might've been shaking the whole venue :bassist:

The online videos & recordings do not even come close to capturing how much low-end The Warning has live.....

No, I'm not a good photographer, especially with a phone :meh:

I was fortunate enuff in 73 to find/be found by my 1967 NR Thunderbird. I've used it for everything from piano/drums/bass 'jazz' trios through rock of various genres to Big Band to concert band(w/ flutes, clarinets, trumpets, trombones, bassoons, etc.). It does it all with adjustments on EQ on the amp; tone on the bass. One trick pony my @$$.
:rollno:I find the Tbird to be very much a one trick pony! About the only trick mine will do is music of any kind.:rollno:

:(It’s a horrible boat oar because the headstocks snap off, not very good as a pizza spatula because it’s much too thick, thought about driving it into the ground neck first to use as a yard sign but it’s too expensive for that. Pretty disappointing if you ask me.:sour:

:bored:All in all it’s a pretty useless product unless all you plan on using it for is music.

I saw that earlier. I don't really consider that VG condition; those blemishes aren't all so minor.

Do those look like original pickups?
I’m not so sure they are - the hardware all looks like it’s been played hard and put away wet, lots of wear and oxidation on all the metal parts (including the trim rings) yet the pup covers look pristine. Very questionable. I’d demand a photo of the pup back sides and associated wiring.

Would have liked to have been there, maybe next time. Did you do any of the meet and greet?

That’s cool!
Neat that the band did a meet and greet, many don’t offer that level of contact.

I figured I'd do something different than the usual t-shirt/hat/picture thing for signing - especially since I have some of that already, from their web store. Thought it'd be cool to have something a bit more unique since it was an in-person signing :)

They had limited availability for VIP/meet & greet upgrades for I think all of their shows on this tour.
Most, maybe all, of the people at the two Troubadour shows were Patreon supporters. A bunch came from overseas, England, Europe, Scandinavia, some down from Canada and up from Mexico too, as well as all over the US.

Keep that kind of misinformation up and you'll be banned, canceled--maybe even sent to the People's Reeducation Camp For Discerning Truth. There you will be fitted with glasses to see things "correctly."

(Funny how govs that use "Peoples" in any title are never "the people's" anything. Clever terminology from the ministry of truth.)

Have you played the VP on stage, loud?
No, I haven't. Playing it loud thorugh a 360 might change my take on it, but at the moment, playing bass guitar on stage is pretty distant. I expect to play drums and doghouse on stage fairly soon. Bass guitar is more distant.

I'll give him $500 for that GTO. (I've come to terms with never being able to afford one. It's fine, really).

Yeah, this car actually came from Cali, it needs work but no rust - When he's done it'll be at least a 60K car if not more.
