So I recently got a Rickenbacker 650D treble geetar and I’m loving it.

I had also planned to also get a NR firebird, but I could only find overpriced custom shop models. (With reportedly poopy pickups, and without banjo tuners)

I ordered some celluloid material to replace the Ric pickguard and it finally arrived and was not the thickness I had ordered. And I’m super pissed about it.

So in a fit of rage, I ordered a mahogany NR firebird body that takes 7ender necks. Since I have a couple laying about anyway….

she will be routed for a single P90, tuna-matic bridge, no tailpiece, rear routed with vol/tone/jack.

I feel better now.

Speaking for myself only, one of the reasons I joined the army and served in the Gulf War was a strong belief in freedom and a mission to spread freedom in the world. Time off to celebrate freedom in the way you choose (as long as it does not impede the rights and freedoms of others) makes me happy. The solemn day is remembrance day when we think of those that did not return from the cause.

And what’s even more important is she sincerely seems to be having a blast playing that tune. Haven’t seen her in any other videos, but if this is her norm she has great playing form and excellent timing, rhythm and feel. Never does she over power the other instruments in the track and yet she can always be heard. She’s the kind of instructor a learning bass player should have, someone that makes learning fun. The other person I always thought would be a great instructor is Billy Sheehan, again high energy, fun and excellent player.
