Thunderbird Club

Manual. It was my Mother's.
That’s kinda what I was assuming. Seems like if you’re a nervous nelly, which I’m not, you could just pack up your important stuff, batten down the hatches on the home and drive a couple hours inland for a couple day hotel stay. Then come back when it’s all passed.
BTDT.

Currently live in Texas so I can relate to the tornado thing (without the basement unfortunately) . Done the Hurricane, blizzard, whiteout and Tsunami warning thing too. Being in the epicenter of a 6.9shaker
Done blizzards. I was unimpressed; managed just fine. Managed deep freezes (below -40), no problem. Camped in the arctic (Resolute Bay, the same place Top Gear went to). Cold weather is easy if you are prepared/clothed for it.

Terrifying is the incoming missile alarm. First night in Saudi Arabia about 2am. Get into NBC suit and gas mask and just wait. Patriot missiles were 30-50% accurate (i.e. managed to shoot down 30-50% of incoming) and no idea if the warhead was chemical, biological, or high explosive. Worse was when we were in our division area; no more incoming missile alarms - it was just going to be a surprise. But there were two canaries named Nerve and Mustard...

Lookin like fun, wish I could have been there. Playing with your hand in a cast has gotta be a challenge. And love the red dress!
Some great looking basses and gear there (even a fridge in front of the fridge). And please somebody post a pic of Chuck with a smile. Happy travels everyone!

Not a fridge. 4-10 + 15.

Linux sounds interesting, I'm going to look into it, I've heard of it before but always thought it was something exotic for computer experts but just looked it up, thanks.

I use Linux Mint, it's been super easy to work with.

And when I switched to a new PC, I was amazed at how much easier (than Windows) it was to transfer.

That thing sounds pretty close to the real deal for a copy, I couldn't tell by looking at it either at least from a distance. I like the sound of those Mesa heads.
I have had 2 gigs with it now where I have been talking to Ric owner afterward and they thought it was a real one. The headstock shape is slightly off, and I have an “El Degas Rocker” truss rod cover on it. Other than that it’s a faithful copy, down to the stereo wiring, the cap(that I disconnected) and the lifting bridge(that I put extra screws in).
I had some real Ric tuners that I put on it, so that also makes it look real. It also has a Ric mute, not that I use it.

The Mesa sounds great and it’s easy to dial in for the situation at hand.
I seem to be the only one in the Subway club that runs Ampeg cabs with a Mesa, but I think they pair up nicely. I had it on the 2 ohm setting to throttle down the wattage.
