She is Welch. I miss her.Good memory. Would make sense; she was from England, or Wales? We miss her.
Do you or @TBird1958 recall who made the sidewinders.A very close second to Lulls are the Sidewinders in V’s mean, purple people eater.
I am sold! Guess the next project will be refinishing the fretless and putting in Lulls. BMM is done, so another color will be in order. There are lots of great colors. Maybe Gretsch orange. Maybe Chevrolet Rallye Green. It was quite something with the bridge pickup off, neck and tone dimed through Chuck's SVT - Pure JAE.

Remember, I put the Chinabuckers in the BlingBird as a place holder. They are ok and did provide proof of concept but someday I’ll replace them with better pups. The Lulls have always been high on the list as have been the thunderbuckers and thunder on the tundra pups. Hadn’t given much thought to sidewinders though. Of course the challenge will be to find something in gold.
My bad. I thought Lull was gone with Mike gone.AFAIK Lulls are still available, expensive, yes. Worth it? Ask the guys that played my '89 at Chuck's.
Don’t. You. Dare.some more bass geekeage….I’ll stop, promise….

They get some negative comments, but I like how my '76 sounds. Roto 66s make it pop.A very close second to Lulls are the Sidewinders in V’s mean, purple people eater.
Probably will be stainless; and maybe record this, before and after strings change.
Nice. Can't go wrong with some TP!Halfdone still with stock strings https://youtube.com/shorts/0qPT24WfhdY
People here keep saying that, but just hasn't been my experience. My 2 sets have PLENTY of lows, and decent highs. Mids may be a tad soft in the alder body Jazz, but are fine in the mahogany P. A little TC Spark adds mids to the J. The ProBuckers are still in the Embassy I bought to put in the P, I have never considered for one second replacing the EYs. The P is my favorite bass in 52 years of playing., including Sadowskys, Roscoes, Lull T5, MTD, Fbasses, '66J, Sukop, Elrick, Nordstrom, Dingwalls, etc, etc.Or at Casa Veronica for that matter. Lulls are really, really good.
Played one years ago and thought it was pretty good. Not a Thunderbird but any thoughts on a
Schecter Stiletto Extreme 4? Looks clean and offered at $250.

And where does one get such Sidewinders, other than trying to steal the Queen's and getting beheaded for it?A very close second to Lulls are the Sidewinders in V’s mean, purple people eater.
That is a beautiful FSO.View attachment 4741260 View attachment 4741261

Sorry, referenced the wrong post, I meant to reference the one about EYs being thin on the bottom.
My all-time favorite bass above
