…hopefully not in the same way somebody else did Dallas. You make it sound like I've done San Francisco.
ahem

A couple of things jump out.Anyone can edit the page, but basically, I am.
Supposed to be? Who knows? We're just collecting data. What is the distance from the 12th to the center of the bridge pickup?
Thanks, Geoff!
A couple of things jump out.
Lots of T’birds with bridge pickups at 14 1/2” give or take 1/8” or a 1/16”
Also it seems the basic Epi IV lands closest to the ‘64 pup position. Neck anyway. I know the sample size is very small but I thought it interesting.
My G
Lot's of cool people in those pics! Some of the many basses present.

Jio's own!

I'm still a bit overwhelmed at it...........Jio brought along a lovely bottle of Spey Single Malt Scotch, incredibly thoughtful! A toast was in order!
Chuck on the left, my husband Frank in the middle and Marshall

And here we have Dave, Jio and Jeff, plus my hand.

Geo’s Coral is awesome. The lipstick pickups give it some unique tones. It fits right in with Thunderbirds.
66s, but I like the Rotobass strings, just not as much.
SS Thunderbirds love SS strings.
Here’s Jason Lollar himself installing his into an Epi IV.A couple of things jump out.

My Goth neck pickup is noticeably closer to mid than my Gibson’s.
I’m now wondering if anyone has ever dropped some Thunderbuckers, Lulls, Lollars etc into a basic Epi IV or Goth?
Maybe the location of the fan in the chassis is different?I never notice the fan in the TT800 at any volume. I wonder why the one in an 800+ would be louder. It could just be my lousy hearing.
My PF350 is quieter than the D800+, but I still hear it.My Peavey Max 250 is the same way; any time I'm not actively playing, the fan is clearly audible.
My Ampeg pf350 (which is almost 2x the power output of the Peavey), however, is almost dead silent![]()
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR HONORING US WITH YOUR BEAUTIFUL PRESENCE!!A few more shots with some of the many basses present.
With Marshall's short scale Gibson, what a cool little Bird!

Chuck's BaCH Non Reverse, Thunderbuckers and Flats make a great combination!
![]()
For those that don't know, Chuck is the coolest guy, fun, knowledgeable, an amazing bass player ( love that accent too!) I can't wait to get together again!

With Jio's beautifully made Factor Bird.

Here's a group shot, David is holding one of Jio's super cool basses ( I've forgotten who made it!), it's very thin and has a super fast neck, way too cool!

Of course I got to play this fantantic '68 Non Reverse Thunderbird II of Chuck's

As they say "All good things must come to an end"
I am simply humbled, what an amazing thing for a group of strangers to come together about, many miles traveled so much effort, it was all more than worth it.
Thanks so very much guys, and again Chuck, thank you and Rosa for your generosity, kindness, and great cooking.

Yep, seen it. Well worth the watch.Good morning fellow travelers! Watched a cool doc last night on Netflix called Rumble. It's about the contributions of Native Americans to music. A lot musicians that I never knew were Native, I always thought they were Hispanic.
