Some of the many basses present.

Jio's own!

I'm still a bit overwhelmed at it...........Jio brought along a lovely bottle of Spey Single Malt Scotch, incredibly thoughtful! A toast was in order!
Chuck on the left, my husband Frank in the middle and Marshall

And here we have Dave, Jio and Jeff, plus my hand.

Lots to do in the SF area. Alcatraz is very cool, spend the extra money for the self guided audio tour. If you like outdoor nature type stuff you could spend an entire day in Golden Gate State Park (Japanese Tea Gardens, Flower Conservatory, Butterfly exhibit…). A taxi ride through Haight/Ashbury or down Lombard street is cool just to say you’ve been there. A trip to SF probably isn’t complete without a quick run through the Warf area, eat at the Hard Rock and check out the rock memorabilia.
Thanks much Gbass, I appreciate the suggestions. The park and gardens would be especially appreciated by my wife. Haight/Ashbury sounds like great fun.

A few more shots with some of the many basses present.

With Marshall's short scale Gibson, what a cool little Bird!

Chuck's BaCH Non Reverse, Thunderbuckers and Flats make a great combination!

For those that don't know, Chuck is the coolest guy, fun, knowledgeable, an amazing bass player ( love that accent too!) I can't wait to get together again!

With Jio's beautifully made Factor Bird.

Here's a group shot, David is holding one of Jio's super cool basses ( I've forgotten who made it!), it's very thin and has a super fast neck, way too cool!

I am simply humbled, what an amazing thing for a group of strangers to come together about, many miles traveled so much effort, it was all more than worth it.
Thanks so very much guys, and again Chuck, thank you and Rosa for your generosity, kindness, and great cooking.

This his how a portrait should look! A very happy Jeff playing a bevy of T-birds and hangin' with the flock. What's not to like? :bassist:

Biggest smile I’ve ever seen on Jeff, he must have really been enjoying that bird!

Yep. You, Kara, Darren,……missed some great fun.
And the kicker is we haven’t put the house up for sale yet so had I not been in Bodega Bay/Jenner the weekend before (to spread my moms ashes) and going back up to Salinas in a couple weeks for the Rodeo I would have absolutely joined the Tbird festivities.
A shout out from the wife and I while in Jenner…

…or is that delectable bassists!

@Chucky Stiletti
I haven't pinned my complete Salinas Rodeo schedule down yet, but I know I’ll be staying at the Tides Hotel in Monterey on Saturday the 23rd. Will most likely drive up that morning, hit the Rodeo then dinner and the hotel. Will probably hit the Rodeo on Sunday as well then drive home afterwards. If you have an evening gig somewhere on that Saturday night there’s a chance the wife and I could swing by for a while to catch the show and fill the tip jar. Let me know if you do.

What accent?

It would've been pretty frustrating to be around all those amazing basses and not being able to play any properly. Of course the company would've been great.

Don't wear ear protection; angle the cab(s)right at yer ears. Won't be long b4 yer asking "what fan?"
Side note: I had no idea my Rumble 200c had a fan until I read about in the Rumble Club Wiki. I hadda put my better(of 2 mediocre)ear next to it. Faint whirring sound. Or maybe it was a mosquito.

@Miles_ONeal are you keeping these?

2011 Gibson T’bird 12” fret to middle of the neck pickup 10 1/8” by my eye, using an IKEA paper tape measure.
Is that what it is supposed to be?

Anyone can edit the page, but basically, I am.
Supposed to be? Who knows? We're just collecting data. What is the distance from the 12th to the center of the bridge pickup?
Thanks, Geoff!

I don't have a 2011 on my list. If you measure from the 12th fret wire to the center of both pickups, I'll add it to the list. The closest I have in measurements currently are:

2014 Epiphone Classic IV Pro 10 1/8" 14 7/16"
2013 Gibson Thunderbird 10 1/4" 14 5/8"
2019 Epiphone Classic IV Pro 10 1/4" 14 1/2"
2015 Gibson Thunderbird 10 1/4" 14 1/2"
...

I've added these to the wiki page.

You make it sound like I've done San Francisco.

Alas, we didn't get to meet Chuck and Rosa on our trip, but the hospitality, generosity, kindness and friendship was phenomenal. Hopefully I can make the next big gathering of the flock!
