My response was slightly tongue in cheek. The point was: Make a real effort to solve your problem before seeking help. I feel like an idiot when I DON'T do that.

Yeah, I get that. I mean, if there's a manual, usually I read it.

I was one of those kids that actually read and reread the instructions for the various lego kits I got (before modifying them, once complete, to suit what I wanted to do that day).

If you have a can of compressed air, you could also try blowing air inside the pot...

I had a pot fail on me - turned out it was just a tiny wood fragment from the control cavity, that had lodged itself inside the pot. As soon as it was blown away, everything worked fine again.

Sorry if this has been discussed already but can anybody provide feedback on the Schecter Ultra bass?
Not exactly a T-Bird but obviously aimed in that direction, I'm asking about the second version 2010-2013.
Neck through 5 piece maple neck, rosewood fretboard, mahogany body wings, EMG TBHZ pickups, tune-o-matic bridge.
The build quality looks pretty good in the pictures I've seen.
I don't have a neck through bass, I know nothing about stability of them.
One of the things I wonder about is the 16" radius fretboard, flatter than what I'm used to.

You, like me are a kinesthetic learner. Saying that, quite how I managed to spend 5 years of my life as a royal navy clearance diver is beyond me

Not a clue but have you read this? Invalid Link Removed
Through neck are just as stable as any other type, with the Schecter being a 5 piece laminate it will be as stable as your going to get. There are many early Tbirds out there with necks as straight as an arrow so I wouldn't worry about it
