They are very nice. I prefer the D-bird shape, but they are hard to find.
YEAH…but Gibson sued them right after the D-ROC 5 won “Best Bass” at NAMM a couple years ago, so they changed the body shape. I think, had Dingwall fought it in court, they likely may have won. Very hard to mistake a Dingwall for a Gibson TBird. But I DO also have some pre-lawsuit D-Birds. They made almost NO 5-strings. My White one is one of the two from the NAMM Show that caused the lawsuit.

Finish: Golden Sage to Ice Blue Colorshift finish
(Custom color….I like Greens and this is sort of s flip-flop Green)
Pickups: 3 x FDV with Passive electronics and standard 3X Rotary
(Standard electronics have a 4x switching and sound modern/scooped. My custom 3x switching are meant to sound like a Musicman, a Jazz and a PBass on the settings….cuz I already have one with the modern/scooped electronics)
Neck: Maple
(Standard is maple or optional Wenge)
Fingerboard: Maple with Maple headstock & Body color on side edges/Green logo; Green Pearloid position markers and Green Luminlay side dots.
(Standard is Wenge fingerboard and matching dark headstock, white pearl elipse dots and non-glow side dots)
Custom Drop D Low E tuner; requested MAPLE pickguard UNATTACHED….so I could decide if I liked it. Wenge is normal spec pickguard.

Gotta say…I am always afraid of doing a custom order but Dingwall NAILED IT…GOT IT PERFECT TO MY SPEC. Plays and sounds great.
