When I first got my valve amp I was confused about the startup routine with the standby and power switches. maybe someone @Chucky Stiletti can elucidate? No, not at all.
Let em warm up.
Once you hit the standby switch, and play the rig.
You'll know if there's a prob somewhere, or not.
C'mon over.
Play the YT link.

Yes, for the Burgundy NR. I follow you now. The past views of the possibility of silver with the white VP mixed, but leaning toward silver, which I prefer. So this is the finial product, not so much as a demo. But I appreciate the input.
For bass, pre distortion was always too harsh for my liking. Fine for guitar. The pre-amp was too nasty. Time for more experimentation.
Can you pass the salt, then?Just rattling around through this.
Take it with a grain of salt.

Where were you? Oh. Probably sleeping since you live on the other side of the world. Not recommend if you want to keep up with this crowd. Not allowed to
I see the conversation moved on
YES! the standby switch applies the amplification voltage to the tubes…when the amp is on with the standby off you heat up the filaments to create the electron “cloud” around the cathode and filament…..turning all on at once from a cold start will strip the cathode of chunks of its thoriated tungsten lining shortening tube life and in higher powered tube amps possibly lead to tube/amp failure….modern Gallium Nitride amps have a similar start up sequence…

It wouldn't fly here either, thus my ending. I understand the reason for the way the jury system selection works, but I often wondered if a professional jury pool who are always up to speed on procedures and more familiar with the law wouldn't be better in some ways. Not perfect, just maybe better. As it is, virtually everyone in a jury pool doesn't want to be there which isn't ideal for decision making. Not to mention a good number of people are far too eager to hand out someone else's money (and stick it to a big company) or let people off the hook if they feel sorry for them. But, I know none of this is new to you. I'm sure you've seen it all and then some. I suspect there is a great amount of frustration for attorneys as well with the current system.Judge might not be impressed? Don’t know about Kentucky, but here it would definitely end with a contempt citation.
You stole from a church? It was from a church and really didn’t know what they had. I didn’t argue the price. Just gave them what they asked and they thanked me for hauling it away.
It’s not hard to imagine which clip it is that you use.
I know which one I thought of first. That would be brutal. The worst are the calls wanting to buy my house. I started telling them if they come up with a million cash within 24 hours, the place is theirs. The responses are pretty rude. And I’m ruder.
Oh yeah, I like that much better as well.@dagrev post reminded me that I was going to buy silver tophat knobs for the VP. I like the look better than the gold.

You should tell them the next time that unless they have a million alpacas then there's no deal. See how they respond.I like it!
After we sold our previous house we had clowns calling wanting to buy it. They kept calling and it had been months since the closing. I started doing something similar and asking for crazy amounts of money. I told one guy I would sell it to him for $5000 because I just want it out of the house but he had to come up with the money within a couple days. He was fumbling around and didn't know what to do.
Oh, no worries. I had forgotten myself that you didn't comment on the VP option and confused the two when I posted. I never recall doing much changing, but I fully agree with you that it can add just a little touch of spice to an instrument. Not that noticeable, but adds to the bigger picture.Oh, sorry - hard to keep up sometimes.I'm a knob collector.., I have a whole box of various knobs; plastic, metal, white, black, silver, red, bone, wood, small, large, modern, vintage/retro, and various examples of each. Certain of my basses have had a variety of knobs over years. I think of them like a watch, bracelet or ring to a cool gestalt/look - they "dot the I's" for me on a bass/guitar.
Tortoiseshell would look good I think. Pretty sure you could find it in the 50's shape too.Oh, no worries. You obviously have a good eye for these kinds of things and I wonder what your thoughts would be about this Pbass. The mother of toilet seat pick guard I put on it years ago has turned to an unpleasant yellow look. I was thinking of going with a late 50s gold and gold anodized aluminum pick guard. While I I'm really like black and white in that tuxedo look, white just doesn't seem to click for me here. It came with a black pick guard and that just doesn't do much for me either.

Now that I look at it, the black doesn't look that bad. Thoughts welcome.
I guess a trip to confession and a few rosaries might work as well. Let's hope. Eternal damnation likely has no Thunderbirds. You stole from a church? You should probably send that to me to use in church to remove any stain of sin and guilt. I wouldn't want you to go through life carrying that burden every time you played that rig and feelings of guilt hit you all over again. Just let me know when you want me to send my address!
