I have occasionally considered swapping the tone pot / output jack locations on my CP.
And then I sober up.
I'm strongly considering moving the output jack on my CP to the front panel in the "traditional"? location, and then block off/fill in the hole where it currently is.....

And the bunnies return.I don't mind the CP location, I'd only move mine if i went to a single pickup.
but then I'd have to spackle the jackhole... that could be a euphemism for something...

Incoming Nonreverse from TBer Basshag. We worked out a deal on this bad boy and I'm pretty excited about it. She's a II converted to a IV natural refin with a repaired headstock. Really looking forward to having this bass in the flock. View attachment 4779330 View attachment 4779331 View attachment 4779332 View attachment 4779333 View attachment 4779334

So which show(s) will you be attending? Not really Thunderbird related, but for those of you in the west coast-ish area that might have interest in seeing The Warning live, they've recently announced some new dates.....

....tickets are in pre-sale now, and have a tendency to sell out quickly-ish.
Should be a link on their website when full sales go live?

That was helpful. Before I clicked on the link, I was thinking. I now have a job offer. Maybe I’ll accept it and start working in a few weeks. And maybe the wife won’t be too pissed if I use some of the vacation cash out from the last job to get a Bicentennial. Then I saw the asking price. I’ll pass.Saw a "1976" white Thunderbird on ebay. S# 627693.
1976 Gibson Thunderbird Bicentennial Vintage Bass w/ Case AGED WHITE "SUPER RARE | eBay
Records indicate there were no white '76s. (My white "76" is a "Second" with a stamped 1976 number is an odd duck.)
Likely no answer, just a mystery.
The stamped number on the bass listed brings the below info:
Guitar Dater
Your guitar was made at the
Nashville Plant, TN, USA
in 1956
Production Number: 27693
