Thunderbird Club

Sometime back, I discovered that if I "liked" posts and then followed a 'link' somebody posted all my likes disappeared and I had to re-like them, which got to be a PITA. So now I read everything and either reply(if I have something to say)-or not-or post an emoji.
Such as::smug:, or o_O, or :eyebrow:/:bag:.
I hope that’s not the case with the ad blocker I’m using. I use the like button as a checkmark to know where I left off.

It's a fantastic museum, very nicely done, world class.

We have "Fantasy of Flight" in central FL, just east of Lakeland. They/he also has a Super Connie. And a Sunderland-there's a lake next to the facility. https://www.fantasyofflight.com/collection/#

Acronyms, bloody acronyms!
In 68, VW went to Independent Rear Suspension: each rear wheel was driven by an axle with an inboard and outboard constant velocity joint, as opposed to the previous Swing Axle which was only jointed at the trans (like a Corvair)

Well, sure, but where's the fun in that (apart from driving one)?

Yeah, I got a gold card...

I haven't gone to McExpensive in more than 15 years, and I'm happy with that. I was always hungry half an hour later after eating there, it's a pity Burger King wasn't around here in the capital city when I was a teen. Sadly the only one around that I remember at that time it was in the tourist south side of the island...

I think Ford still haven't figured out independent suspension on the Mustang...

Oh-oo, you talked me into it...dug out the 'bird and took a few pics of where it's at right now...pickups bought, cavities routed (and then some...oops...got putty)...just waiting to take time to do it at the new house.

I hooked the hot wire in the middle rivet of the volume controls, dry, and laid the braid on the back of the pots, fixed with tape. I get a faint sound, tapping with a screwdriver, pots on high...
No 60 cycle hum, tho. Just not enough output...all parts check out with multimeter.

There are some trim rings available for the pickup routs should you not wish to putty. It's a cool project, please share more when you're able to.
