Well, that's a longer story. My son-in-law was born in Jerusalem and was raised in Hebron. Due to the difficulty in travel for Palestinians living in the West Bank, he spent a great deal of time in Amman. The company's primary factories are in Hebron and Amman. Each of the five brothers is charged with running the main company but also either expanding their product lines or geographic reach. My SIL decided that since most of what they produce is vegetarian, he would expand into the world's largest vegetarian market. So, he moved to Bangalore 5 years ago and built a 5 story factory there focused on the main product lines of hummus, pita, saj, samoon, falafel, baklava, and some condiment items like pickled vegetables. He opened a series of fast food restaurants to introduce the cuisine and also sells B2B to retail outlets.

Then again, I never really liked the look of an exposed bridge on a P or Jazz or Tele.

Only installed one on the above P/J for looks, otherwise they are in the way of palm-muting over the bridge. I have covers safely stored for the occasional photo-op.

Have been pretty busy at work and will continue for a few weeks as we remove and remodel a section of my showroom.
The weekend flew by, I played the Outlaw and the '64 yesterday afternoon for about 2 hours - helps maintain what little sanity I'm hanging on to! I'll shoot some detail pics soon, it's really a very cool bass, I'm enjoying it quite a lot.

That's how they were made, it's an odd bass - elements of Gibson, Fender and Rickenbacker, it's a neck thru instrument, a very pleasant surprise really.

only reason it ended up on the P is because it's gold colored….what are the chances?…totally agree on the muting….will prolly come off for tonight's gig…..

A lot like your/my Greco, pretty sure it was made in the same factory. Am I sending it down for your review?

If I hadn't just bought an SG style bass... (out for delivery today) ...that's pretty tempting. That one was like the model (abet being the EB2L) that I ordered new in '70 in trans brown. I ended up with a NOS '68 ss in cherry and I just accepted it. I didn't know they did the slotted hs in a ss, I thought that was only offered on the 34" scale. Anyway - a fair price for anyone interested. If I bought it I would strip the cherry finish and install a Guild Darkstar, maybe two!

Yeah I've seen that one. It's much more of a project.

Had my first ever jam session with people that gig. Drummer and two guitarists. Blues group with a little Johnny Cash. 2 hours straight definitely builds calluses.
