Thunderbird Club

He's got a few guitars (in the loosest sense) some with only one string on. He played Glastonbury (a UK festival) a couple of years ago with John Paul Jones on bass, awesome concert, just found it on youtube:

Now THIS. This is f*cking rock and roll right here. And yes, the drummer has it going on. Puts the DANG back into dang. Nice clip alright.

Love that cymbal that looks like it got pulled from some gnarly pile...

An EB style bass was my main for several years, too. It was a cool sounding bass. Wish I still had it, but I needed the money badly at the time, and it wasn't getting played as much, so off it went.

Do someone has information about the Babicz vs Hipshot bridges, pros and cons?
I can see the Babicz visually fits better, but... what's about the sound? Basically no public source.
(Btw. It's driving me crazy that the product makers don't make comparison. Just "hey guys, throw at me your 200 dollar, it's better than the poopy Gibson one, i swear, believe me, read my text.")
And it always bothered my eyes, that the bridge is so close to the pickups, and there is a plenty of space 'til the end of the bass. The 63-65 era tailpiece balanced it so well.
So what if i want to add a tailpiece to a... let's say Babicz bridge, then won't the bridge lose it's full contact function, the reason why i bought it?

That's a rare pickup, totally legit. As I've mentioned several times Gibson has used at least 4 variations of TB Plus pickups over the years since the 1988 re issue. I've seen that same configuration sunk into resin as well, it's a take off of the '76 design, used before they shifted over to Humbuckers.
Ever heard it? I really dig the P sound but the active emgs that are like that don't work for me

I wonder how many have this in their Gibson and don't even know it.
