And that is the concerning part.Never under estimate our friend from the North. He’s a clever, cunning an resourceful brother capable of almost anything.
Well, I can stop sweating now. Played 45 minutes with the Sunn Concert Bass amp connected to an Ampeg 210av cabinet and there was no cut out. So, given all the tests and combinations I've run, pretty sure that the 215m cabinet is the issue. I guess it will take some inspection time when I get back from India.

going right back to the initial suspicion of a bias adjustment/thermal issue….turn the amp on connected to nothing (no speaker, instrument etc) and put your hand on the back (on the heat sink if there is one, don’t recall) and feel for heat….if it warms up shut it off. if it doesn’t warm up, connect the speaker and repeat….if it stays cool hook up an instrument cable with no instrument and repeat….this should give some good clues….the volume variations you experienced upon changing cables don’t sound right…..fishy…

Nice big heat sink. No noticeable heat after a few minutes under each condition.
if you’re ballsy, play the bass until it cuts out and feel the heat sink immediately afterwards…

Craftsman multimeter will not give a reading on the ohm setting. Tried all three cabs. Unfortunately, my old, cheap radio shack one has a minimum 1k ohm.
