Thunderbird Club

Watching this video, I realized the "cure" for one of our biggest gripes: limited camera time for the bass player.
Cameras will always focus on lead singers, of course; on guitarists, at least when playing solos; drummers with all their flailing around back there; and usually some face time for anybody singing. Therefore, if the bassist wants to be videoed, have a mic. Even if all the bassist does is lip synch(or sing unison 'answering' lines as the 2 guitarists in this band did). And don't stand behind someone else.
Of course, @TBird1958, you can also be the BL.
That pretty much guarantees 'face(legs?)time'.;)
I've been told by our singer/guitard that I'm the designated stage banter guy. Now every time I head to rehearsal I think of new, wackier ways to introduce my bandmates. As foe me, I still stick with "and I'm Haji, Nashville's Certified Worst Bassist(tm)". Sadly I've heard some stuff lately that leads me to believe people are gonna try to make me defend my title.

Head west for a real test :p

I became the banter guy 'cos the other guys don't like to do it and it's better than dead air-which seems to happen a lot(one guitarist's guitar seems to go outta tune every other song).

Better hope I never move a little farther South you won't be able use that one any more.

My folks just loved Glen Campbell so I got to hear him often growing up, Wichita Lineman is still my fave from him - what musician he was!
I remember watching him play the "William Tell Overture" on an electric 12 banger when I was a kid &

Indeed, I remember seeing him do this rendition when I was a kid and I must say he was a major influence that led me to being a "Frustrated Guitar Player"

I thought the term 'redneck' was now 'person of limited genetic diversity'.
Here now, you're talking about my family. We have solid trunk we come from. Our linage is easy to trace given there are no forks.

(Actually there's no indication of this in my family tree--as far as I can tell. But it was a problem/more common in small and more isolated areas of eastern Ky.)
