Count - you've really got me thinking now. I have dozens and dozens of basses but not one of them has a kill switch. I've never needed one when not gigging (noodling, practice, jam sessions) and when I was gigging I just muted with my tuner pedal between songs if needed. I suppose if you're wireless the kill switch before the transmitter would come in very handy. Am I missing something?
I just turn off the wireless transmitter. It sure kills the sound, plus it saves the battery.

Well Xmas is over. :(
I really enjoyed the Xmas pics from everyone.
Had a great day
Did you guys get any bass related presents?
I got a gig bag for my recently acquired MB Fusion 500 and, of course, The Gibson Bass Book.
The GK gig bags for the MB Fusion 500 seemed very hard to find before Xmas- none that I could find in Australia and no delivery from GK to Australia until the new year. GK site was out of them too before Xmas- appears to be back in stock now.
I found this Gator product which is a good alternative, although the pocket is smaller. Good fit for the MB Fusion 500, but probably not for the bigger GK micros.

I got a cracking gig bag for the T bird , and one of those Neotech straps but Im not impressed . Its a stupid design which means that the wide part of the strap doesnt even sit on my shoulder but in front of it ! I tried it on another couple of basses to see it it was because of the strange positioning of the birds strap pin but alas no . I suppose thats what I get for choosing a strap made by a camera and binocular strap company rather than guitars and basses .

I have that same Gator bag for my MB500. It's perfect for it!

So, I had to go have a look at those straps based on the comments above...........................

Am I missing something? The wide part of the strap misses your shoulder - it's like a backwards jockstrap, why?
