Lots of distractions lately…
finally playable…
dummy bridge pickup, fretless conversion, thunderclaw, and factory flimsy truss rod cover.

I did it guys! Bought my Epiphone Thunderbird IV (It's in Poland for now) Found a great offert in Reverb 315€ total, shipping included.

Quoting the seller: "Instrument purchased new in 2020. It's overall condition is excellent, but there are a few knocks on the headstock, there is some leftover sticker residue on the pickguard, and the bridge screws are slightly stripped (but still usable). The strings on the bass are Rotosound 40-100s, comes with original box, and epiphone sticker, and poster."

Bridge screws might need to be changed, but I'm sure I can find a good, cheap replacement in ebay.
Bird's not here yet, and I don't have a clear picture of the serial number at the back of the headstock... So I don't know... What do you think? I just asked for a clear picture of the serial number.
Congratulations! I played one like that in a store the other day and it was very nice.
Chips and marks on the headstock are normal on a Tbird. It’s a long bass and contact with other objects is inevitable!
I think you could wait until it’s in your possession, but you’re in the club.
I just hope that this guy isn't going to swindle me. Never bought by Reverb or using Paypal before, so these are new uncharted waters for me...
And considering my awful past experience with Paypal I'm even more wary.

Using either and both gives you a lot of recourse should the seller not ship the bass. I prefer to use Paypal for most purchases.
Uh, oh... Red flag, seller says Paypal has locked his account without reason, and payment is withheld... Crap... What now? He said that even though payment is withheld he'll still try to get the bass to me... Should I consider the money that cost me so much to save to buy the bass lost?
I think there are far more successful transactions than not. And buying is easier than selling.
I think that'd be the most sensate thing to do, let's wait. But I'm curious about what my number would be? If you would be so kind as to tell me?
Got the picture with the serial number. Seller says the bass was bought new in 2020, do any of you know how to find info about the year of the bass by the serial number? Here it's the picture of the serial number that was sent to me:

Could anyone tell me info about the serial number? Wasn't there a way to know when was the bass built or something like that? Nevermind, found that mine by serial number decoder shoul've been built by June 2019.
