Thunderbird Club

He said that his account was locked after I bought and he said that maybe the cost of the bass + shipping was what made the account to be locked, I've had issues with paypal before so it wouldn't surprise me...

I pay for a lot of stuff online through PayPal, basically any seller that offers the option, and I use it when I sell as well.
Never had an issue with PayPal themselves in either case, and I've used the service since it was new.

The one problem I did have was a Reverb sale, that the seller tried to change from PayPal to another payment method after the sale, to a more direct one that had no buyer security.

I might as well have put cash in an envelope & mailed it.

He did do the refund, but only in the hope I would send the money direct :meh:

I don't EVER do that with someone I don't know personally.

The seller is asking to refund and offer a different payment method. What do I do with this? His paypal account is locked... I need an answer as quickly as possible, please.

I’ve read all the posts regarding this.
Sorry that you’re going through this.

My immediate reaction is to take the money and run.

I did it guys! Bought my Epiphone Thunderbird IV (It's in Poland for now) Found a great offert in Reverb 315€ total, shipping included.

This is the bird:

Quoting the seller: "Instrument purchased new in 2020. It's overall condition is excellent, but there are a few knocks on the headstock, there is some leftover sticker residue on the pickguard, and the bridge screws are slightly stripped (but still usable). The strings on the bass are Rotosound 40-100s, comes with original box, and epiphone sticker, and poster."

Opinions? (Edit: Posted higher resolution pics)
Congrats! Looks good. In the pic it seems the fretboard needs some hydration.

Band-Maid turned out to be one of the best acts I've seen this weekend. Good musicians & entertainers.
Even though they sang in mostly Japanese, I could still understand them better than scream-o/cookie monster vocalists :eyebrow:

I particularly enjoyed their bassist Misa. Top three bassists this weekend, maybe tied with Ale Villarreal for first.
Really loved the sound she was getting, from a 5-string Jazz, played with a pick. A lot of top-end clank, and a lot of bottom end to go with it, very prominent in their mix.

Poor pic is better than no pic? :bag:

Anybody have one of these on their T-Bird:

BABICZ FCH 3-POINT, FOUR STRING BASS BRIDGE (GIBSON STYLE)
I have those on all Gibsons I own with the exception of the EB-2. If there was a way to fit one to that bass without making a mess of the bass, it would have one.
