The seller is asking to refund and offer a different payment method. What do I do with this? His paypal account is locked... I need an answer as quickly as possible, please.
Anytime a seller offers you a refund, just take it and run the other direction. He may have good intentions, or possibly sellers remorse, or even legit PayPal problems. But if alternative payment methods are even mentioned more often than not he’s trying to scam an unsecure payment from you. Don’t bite on that bait! Just take the refund and find a different seller.

So sorry you’re going through this on what should have been a straight forward deal. Reverb and PayPal are both very safe sandboxes to play in. Assuming your refund comes through ok, don’t hesitate to find other Reverb sellers or use PayPal for the transaction. Other good deals will come up.

Agreed - his account is "locked" for a reason.
Take the refund, any issues with that, contact PayPal immediately. If that’s what you have to do, probably wouldn't hurt to let Reverb know about it as well.
Smells like scam to me.
Excellent advice!

This happened a few hours ago. Ever since Facebook came around I got in touch with a lot of former classmates and for most of them it's a cordial “How are you, what have you been doing?” kind of thing.

One of them is a woman who was a classmate during my final year in high school. She and I weren't all that close during that time seeing our age gap, she's six years younger than I am but graduated early thanks to her grades, so she's a smart cookie.

We started interacting more because of her almost being a neighbor of the drummer of the band "Rote Sau” I was in at the time. She'd bring along her young son when we had rehearsals, and everybody in the band really liked hanging with her.

After the band folded our interactions slowed down but out of the blue she said “I've arranged a babysitter, let's go paint the town red!” And I went “Sure.” drove over there, picked her up and went to my favorite watering hole.

But as soon as we got there, her demeanour started to change, she went from all smiling and joking into suspicious on why I took her there and what those people in the bar were about. And then she ordered her first drink.

The hours that followed are a bit hazy, but I decided to fade into the background, leave her alone while she drank pint after pint after pint, growing increasingly more vocal in the process. She then started a rant that all men could think of was to (and I'm using a Safe for work term) “dance horizontally” and gave me some evil glares.

But things truly went bad when a young lesbian couple started kissing, and she dove in between them. Ranting that with their open display of affection, they weren't helping her case on what she had been ranting about all that time. One of the women walked up to me and said, “Please take that evil woman away, she ruins it for everybody!”

I apologized for having brought her along in the first place, I was feeling so ashamed. Luckily, she knows me, knows who I am, knows that I was sincere, she went “No harm done Walter, you only wanted to give her a good time.” The Bartender agreed, this wasn't my fault.

So I went to the shouting and ranting Karen that was my former classmate and said “Okay Diana, that's enough, let's just go home okay?” At which she got fire in her eyes and started wailing on me,”NO, YOU GO HOME YOU (Expletive) I'MMA STAY HERE AND HAVE FUN!”

At that moment the bartender called out “The final call.” and she roared; “THE FINAL CALL FOR WHO?!” I once again tried to reason with her, “Come on, let's just go.” But she once again began shouting obscenities at me and the other nodding at me in sympathy at which I said to the others “Somebody, please make sure she gets home safely okay?”

She went “Yeah, you'd better leave, I never want to see your sorry butt again, you (Expletive)”

I never had to deal with a Karen directly, and I hope I won't have to for a long while to come. I blocked her on Facebook pretty much straight away.

You can't deal with people like that.
So, you’ve met my ex wife!
Try five years of those antics on a 24/7 basis.

How is John? Haven’t seen him in 20+ years and that was at the Venice shop.
He’s fine. A bit cantankerous at first, but once you get to know him, he’s great. And he’ll talk your ear off. His shop is amazing. CNC machine for his custom guitars and basses. He has a bass on the wall he built that is phenomenal. No way I can justify buying it, but it is pretty much perfect. And I mean perfect. I’m hoping to go down to pick up what he’s done for me in a couple weeks and I’ll probably take a Goth down for a level and crown and a 7ender PBass for some fret end dressing.

He did fantastic work on my brother’s 40 year old Guild acoustic guitar. My brother says it sounds better than it did when it was new.

He’s reasonably close to me in Camarillo, so it’s not a big deal dropping off and picking up.

There is a guy closer to me, but IMO he isn’t very good based upon a couple of basses I had him work on.

Good to hear he’s stayed the same…. He taught me how to set up a geetar…

Ok, so on the new to me ‘95 Thunderbird hard case, the previous owner must have not known or forgot the three digit combo for the latch and had just unscrewed it and left it attached. I fiddled with it trying to see if I could “crack” it by keeping tension on it and catching the grooves. Gave up on that real fast and decided just to start at 000, and do ten or so each time I’m in the garage or using the case.. got as far as 007, and bam! That was it. Usually my luck has it that it would be 997, and I wouldn’t have gotten there for a month. If I could only get that lucky with other things…

On the topic of cases, what is the best gig bag for this?
I don’t like gig bags. Others on here use them, but they aren’t cheap.

Happy Sixx Sunday!View attachment 4839079Have I said what a great Thunderbird this is ?

I'll play along with you on Sixx-Bird Sunday.

I don't like them either and won't use them.

To each there own - I've never had issues using gig-bags for live local shows and weekly rehearsals. Way easier than lugging a HSC. (mandatory for flying and shipping)

Yikes! Sorry, my friend. My insane dates were at least not public about it.

Well, crap. This fell through, what a disappointment.
Not going to like this. Just take the refund and find a more reliable seller!

I have used paypal buying stuff from reverb and ebay and never faced a problem. Once a small acoustic amp was damaged during transport, I got a full refund after contacting the seller. He didn’t even want the combo back, so I replaced the speaker, now it works as should.
