It's been a long time, but I think that was the pattern in the 60s, and likely more than that, but I have no experience with either side of the 60s.

One of these guys is hoping to be some lucky lady's Thunderbird.... (Not a clear pic through the window)
The ladies are to the left and far left, and could care less at all the feather flexing from the three stooges. Nothing new.

This is the shift pattern on my 67 international 1200b. Switching between this and a normal 5 speed can have its moments. No too bad though. Things happen pretty slow in an old binder. But forget about anyone else driving it.

TBH, the last coupla years, I drove nineteen wheelers: 18 on the ground, 1 between my ribs and my belt.

Yeah, 1 is definitely a low granny gear on the international. Rarely ever used. Start out in 2.

I've not priced one in a while, but a new/new-ish day cab like that runs close to what a modern HD (diesel) pickup costs.
An equivalent sleeper cab, about double that.

I found their year-by-year '70s tour schedule on line. The interweb scores again! Cowtown Ballroom in KC/MO - saw/heard many great shows there; Steve Miller Band, It's A Beautiful Day, Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen, Van Morrison, and others that escape my memory.
