What was the lesson?I confess to dumping several when I first did a good stringless cleaning on the '76. Learned my lesson...

I see he was fighting neck dive as well. The trick is to hold it vertically.![]()

Thats what I thought. Modified Epi body.
I did it the first time I changed strings on my 76. Years later I did it again because I wasn't paying attention. Since then the blue painters tape has kept me from being a total idiot, at least in that area.
That's Paul Gilbert. He could rock that.He said there is significant body dive, not neck dive. But it rips through that Marshall.

I don't know him to play bass, especially like that, but he's an amazing guitarist.Wow, you're right.

Leather bar era?Des Moines has one of those too, not named for the bass however, the #2 runway of Seatac is directly beneath it - Nothing quite like a 727 or a DC-8 at 105% on takeoff. I don't miss those days much.

That is amazing, I play upright and what he's doing there is unbelievable, an upright shredder!
Finally found a cool 70's song to learn and play on TBird; but sorry for bad camera angle

Hmm, are you sure it isn't just miming? For laughs. The track sounds like an electric bass with rounds (which I'm sure he played himself).
Easy fix: don't do that(slide).
