I think it's marketed at this price-point because both Fender & Gibson went a bit further to sell a more authentic RI of their classic basses.

I don't mind paying, I have always believed that you get what you pay for.

Tied up in a phone call right now but I think this is the bass bridge comparison video I saw a while ago. IIRC its a pretty interesting run through different bridge options and the impact on sound…

enjoy.

I changed the stock bridge in a MIM Jazz to a '78 Fender I had and there was a noticeable difference. I was actually surprised.

All this talk and my love of the Fender Flower/Paisley look, has me thinking…

How would this look on a NR with a vintage tint black block and bound all maple neck? It’s different for sure!

This started off life as one of the only basses I own that I bought new - an exaggerated trans-mustard yellow '06 CIJ Fender '51 P RI. It went through a couple of iterations before ending up as the T2K Mk II.

Thanks, Fender Japan seems to make a lot of nice stuff.

They do. They have more variety of left-handed models than we have here. They made a left-handed Jaguar Bass. Only Fender that really tempts me, but it's nowhere to be found.

I don't remember having that problem, except with heavier gauge strings? (like, .125+)

Maybe I've just been lucky with string selection?

I have needed more intonation adjustability with the EBCFs. I've also needed more room past the bridge for the EBCF silks.

I see....I've never used EBCFs, so no experience there.

Only time I've run short on intonation, iirc, is on the B-string for BEAD tuning - which I resolved by going down to a .125

Also, I'm one of those people, that don't care if the silks are over the saddles
